She went her unremembering way

She went and left in me
the pang of all the partings gone
and partings yet to be...

Yes, Thompson, you are still my favorite. Even if Ms. Searle had never heard about you... :/

Shall I speak of the August I've failed to blog about? or share thoughts of my impending departure? Which will take place, oh, TOMORROW.
Hmm I'll skim over both.

The past few weeks have been just dandy. My travels have taken me to exotic locations such as a beach in Long Island, orchards in Lagrange, a mansion in Tarrytown, a blockbuster in Fishkill and a lovely little theater in the city. Oh, and I know the Bed Bath & Beyond by the Galleria quite well at this point.

I've been sunburnt, bug-bitten and well fed. No, I have not learned to play a bar chord, but (thanks to my kind and loving teacher) I now know how to "french twist" the top of my head. It looks quite sophisticated, I can assure you.
*Key to making new friends: Carry a cute baby or walk a fluffy dog.*
Puppy was so good on today's rail trail adventure!
And... I think that's all that needs to be said. The rest consisted of Anne of Everywhere-in-PEI and strange and scattered farewells...

It'll take me a little while to accept the fact that everyone's going to be scattered across the country this fall, but I'll get over it. Hehehe you know what? As exciting as this whole college thing is, the idea of a fall without John Jay delights me almost as much. ^.^
